If you haven’t attended the North American Pizza and Ice Cream Show (NAPICS) before, you are missing out on a great weekend. Anyone who runs a pizzeria or an ice cream shop will be amazed by the number of vendors and helpful seminars at NAPICS. This year, the 2015 North American Pizza and Ice Cream Show in Columbus, Ohio will feature more than 175 exhibitors. The event will take place at the Columbus Convention Center on February 15th and 16th. Here’s a link for you if you want to check out all the exhibitors who will be at NAPICS this year.
“Best of the Midwest” Pizza Pizzazz Competition
One of the best things about the North American Pizza and Ice Cream Show is the Pizza Pizzazz competition. The first round begins with 75 contestants cooking pizzas and those 75 will be narrowed down to a final round of six and then the pies made once again with the final three earning cash prizes. There are two divisions “gourmet” on Sunday and “traditional” on Monday. The winner of the contest earns the title of the “Best of the Midwest.” While it’s nice to have the cash, past winners have notified the organizers of the North American Pizza and Ice Cream Show that their Pizza Pizzazz victory has resulted in up to a 30% sales spike at their pizzerias for the months following the competition.
