goalsWhat are your goals for 2013? I know it may be a little late to be asking this question, after all, I’m writing this at the end of January. But nevertheless, you can share here, we’re all friends and who cares if you haven’t yet thought about ways to improve the quality of your life. You can start now.

By looking at those twenty dollar bills, you may think money is the goal of PizzaSpotz. Well, yes, we have a goal to raise money (via angels or Indiegogo) to keep us going until we can produce income. Just like any startup, we want to continue. We don’t want to fall on the ash heap of history. We want to not just survive, we want to thrive (at least until some big internet company would like to snap us up).

Change, Increase & Expand

Our goals are to change, increase and then expand. Chris Brogan, those are our three words. We want to have a new look here at PizzaSpotz. We want to look and be a bit more user friendly. As for me and many pizzeria owners I’ve spoken with, they like this website but they would like to see more color. If you like red, you’ll see a lot of it here soon. (UPDATE: done as of 2/1)

We want to increase the amount of content you see here at PizzaSpotz. We want to have user reviews and a lot of them. These can be comments on our pizzeria review listings or full fledged pizzeria reviews. Contact us if you are interested in writing some reviews. We want to continue to fill our pages with pizza lists. OF course, as you’ve probably noticed, these lists don’t have a lot to do with pizza, but the word pizza is in every title. These top ten lists and other lists are fun and we hope that people searching our world pizza directory will also kill some time and enjoy our lists, games, quizzes and other content. We want people to spend more time here at PizzaSpotz.

We also want to expand where our directories go. We have yet to include any Canadian pizzerias. We’re working on that soon. We want to offer website creation, one page sites for pizzerias who would like to be listed in our directory but are not listed because they do not have a website. We only list pizzerias with websites so we want to remedy the problem of some people not seeing their favorite pizzerias listed here. In addition to creating sites for pizzerias, we also want to offer online ordering. In addition, we want to expand user engagement. This will come, we hope with the beginning of our pizza giveaways, our addition of a weekly pizza art contest, more quizzes, polls and surveys and member profile pages where you can save your favorite pizzerias, follow them, and interact with other PizzaSpotz users.

Your Goals?

Well, this has been a lot to read. You’re probably hungry right now. How about some pizza from your favorite pizzeria or Italian restaurant. By the way, where would that be? Please leave your favorite in the comments below. And while you’re at it, share some of your goals for 2013.

Thanks,
Brian of PizzaSpotz
